As the World Investor Week was being organized in our country from October 1 to October 7, 2018, a workshop was conducted on 7th of October 2018 in our school regarding safe investment. This workshop benefitted all the members of KPS BPTP Family. Through it all could learn about investing their money at a safer place so that some more savings can be done in today’s scenario of inflation.

On 17 November, 2018 also we arranged two more workshops on the similar issue. One was for teachers and the second one was for all the other members of KPS Family i.e. for peons, sweepers and maids etc. to manage their financial issues and better way of managing money matters.

12. “Talent wins games but team work and intelligence win championship.”

Somebody has said this very true as KPS Team bagged Second Position in District Open Handball Tournaments (U-19) on 7 Oct, 2018 because of the team work of our young and energetic players of classes VI, VII and VIII and the intelligence of our Sports Teacher Mr Amit Solanki. Our players got Trophy, Medals and T- Shirts as a prize. In this tournament 25 renowned schools of District Faridabad had participated.

13. “Confidence... thrives on honesty, on honour, on the sacredness of obligations, on faithful protection and on unselfish performance. Without them it cannot live.”

As Franklin D. Roosevelt has said, the KPites took part in Raahgiri programme at Ballabgarh in the morningon 7th of October 2018. They presented a message giving Mime Show, Zumba Dance and Dandiya Raas which were very much appreciated by the huge crowd present there.

14. “Joint pain, bloating and foggy thoughts are not imagined symptoms, They're the result of improper diet. Make eliminations. Start with wheat, then dairy, then sugar. These are the most inflammatory foods.”
Nancy S. Mure has aptly said these words so we organized an excursion to Vita Milk Plant, Ballabgarh on 9 October, 2018. This visit was very informative and encouraging for the children as they promised to include milk in their routine diet at least twice a day.

The plant authorities showed us the history and all the details of Vita Dairy through a movie which was made by recording the process in original. Then they made us visit their plant and explained the whole process. After that they gave everyone a cap as a token of regard and offered us a delicious glass of flavoured milk. Each one of us liked it very much and enjoyed.

In fact, this small trip was very much enlightening and entertaining.

15. Our little children of class I went to participate in an Inter School Dance Competition in Manav Rachna International School. They had performed Dandiya Raas which was very much appreciated by the audience.

16. Another good news to share is that our five talented players have been selected for State Level Handball Tournaments and they went to Kaithal from 14 Oct, 2018 to 16 Oct, 2018. Haryana State gave them track suits. There, Faridabad District defeated Ambala District by 13-4.

We hope that in the near future our teams would win more medals and trophies in other games as well.

17. “Everyday sun rises to give us a message that darkness will always be beaten by light.
Let us follow the same natural rule and enjoy the festival of good defeats evil.”

At the end of the assembly, In-Charge of our school Ms Seema Rana addressed the children and made them aware about the adverse consequences of adopting evil and importance of good in life.

18. "Chance favours the prepared mind."

So, keeping in view today’s world of insecurity for children we organised a workshop on 23 October, 2018 to guide them how to handle the adverse conditions of life. We invited Ms Kavita Thakur a renowned counsellor of Faridabad. She told the children about the different personality traits and behaviour present in everyone. She also gave examples of those famous personalities who used their negative traits in a positive manner.

In fact, the workshop was very beneficial for all the children.

19. “The sun does not shine there, nor do the moon and the stars, nor do lightning shine All the lights of the world cannot be compared even to a ray of the inner light of the Self. Merge yourself in this light of lights and enjoy the supreme Deepavali.”

On the auspicious occasion of the festival of lights we organised many activities for the children, in the school premises, like Rangoli Making, Diya Decoration and Class Decoration activities in the school on 3 November, 2018. These activities ignited the creative and artistic ideas amongst the students. So the celebration made the day of students joyful.

20. “With confidence, you have won even before you have started.” Marcus Garvey has correctly said these words as our six talented students Ayush Uniyal, Manish, Mukul Sharma, Preet Bankara, Tanish Rana and Samiksha Sharma participated in the auditions confidently for singing organised by Disha T. V. Channel by SSR Productions on 3rd of November, 2018 in which five students had been selected for the next round as well. In this tournament Faridabad District defeated Kurukshetra Team.

So we can say that Kalka Public School, BPTP Parklands is growing very fast by all means.

Our two meritorious students Akshita and Jatin Juneja of classes VIII and VI respectively bagged III Position in Bharat Ko Jaano Pratiyogita organised by Bhatrat Vikas Parishad. These students were shortlisted at branch level competition on 23rd of October, 2018. Then they qualified the State Level Written Test on 3rd November, 2018. After that there was Semi Final Quiz Round among 7-7 teams in which our team stoodFirst.

23. “A child can always teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to be always busy with something and know how to demand with all his might what you want.” – Paulo Coelho

The first Children’s Day in Kalka Public School was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the school on 14th of November, 2018. The teachers planned for a special assembly on the occasion. They themselves conducted the whole assembly and presented Vande Mataram song, KPS Song, prayer, pledge and news. Then a poem was recited by the English teacher Ms Anjana Madan to honour the KPITES.

After this our all-rounder teachers performed a very entertaining skit in which they acted like Pre-Primary, Primary and Middle wing children and made the day more memorable.

Then the School-In- Charge addressed the assembly and felicitated the children for various activities held outside our school i.e Inter School Competitions.

The children were given chocolates and we made them feel that the day was fully theirs.

To sum up, the day was very interesting day for everyone present in the school campus.

In today’s world of stress to make our children remain relaxed we organised a workshop on 17th of November, 2018.

We had invited a renowned counsellor Ms Kamna Dutta Modi. She told the children how to handle the children how to change the unhappy mood to a happy one, how to start the work again with the good mood and what to say themselves while working.

One more session was arranged for teenage girls about their personal matters so as to make them feel free and calm in all types of situations and handle these without any fear and stress.

It was really a very useful workshop for every one indeed.

We hope that in the coming days ahead we would keep on organising such beneficial workshops as:

Boris Becker has very aptly said,
“I love the winning, I can take the losing, but most of all I Love to play,” which is true for
Our Head Boy, the most talented student of our school Aditya Verma of class VIII who was selected for Haryana State Skating Competition held in Kurukshetra on 17th of November, 2018.

There was District Inline Skating (Hockey) Competition at Faridabad in Sec12 Stadium in which he scored 3 goals alone and achieved II Position.

This is a matter of proud and immense pleasure, that Faridabad District achieved Bronze Medal in Haryana State Inline Skating (Hockey) Competition in which Aditya Verma had participated on 30 November, 2018.

26. “O God, grant me this that I may not hesitate from performing good actions.” Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

On November 19, 2018 we made our whole school visited Sector 7 Gurudwara where we were enlightened by the Paathiji who made us aware about the importance of enchanting the name of God and many unknown facts about Gurudwara and Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

We all felt very much relieved and spiritually peaceful there.

We hope to visit the places of all religions to help the children know more about 'unity in diversity' in our country.

For enlightening the children more about Guru Purab we made the students watch a movie on the life history of Gurunanak Dev Ji during lunchtime on 22 November, 2018 as the festival was being the festival on 23 November, 2018. Through this movie we could aware them about Sikhism in detail.

27. “May God send his love like sunshine in his warm and gentle ways to fill every corner of your heart and filled your life with a lot of happiness like Eid Day.”

In the series of festivities on the occasion of the birthday of Prophet Mohammed, to make the children aware more about the festival of Eid, we showed the children two short movies during lunch break on 21 November, 2018. All the students liked them and enjoyed their lunch together.

We are planning to do the same on the coming religious festivals as well.

28. In the sequel of Inter School competitions there was a two - day competition 'Little Pitara' in Manaskriti School in which 150 children of 18 schools had participated in three events i.e. Recitation, Dress to Speak and Paper Craft on 24 November, 2018.

In this competition, our tiny tots achieved the FIRST Position in ‘Dress to Speak’ and ‘Third Position in Poem Recitation.

31. As we all know that in a school, along with other activities, picnics have their own specific importance to provide special pleasure and practical experience.

So we organised a picnic to Kidzania, Noida tomorrow i.e. 6 Dec, 2018 where our 70 students enjoyed many activities.

Our children had a joyful day with safe journey.

We hope that in the coming days ahead as well we will keep on organizing such excursions for providing the practical experiences to the children.

We thank our honourable mentors, from the core of our hearts, for their full support and blessings without which this event was impossible to be organized.

33. “The image in our mind is more vivid than the camera could ever produce.”
Raigon Stanley

So to enhance the memory power of the students we organized a Two Day Workshop for the children to increase the memory power on 14 and 15 December, 2018.

The spokesperson explained the methods in a very interesting way.

On the first day everyone present was benefitted with it and so all are eagerly waiting for next time slot of this useful workshop in which children participated very actively and enthusiastically.

On the second day the topic was Photography Memory. The children were given more drilling to the way to learn and activate the Mid Brain.

The spokesperson made the students of classes V to VIII to do many exercises for the same which were very interesting. Everyone enjoyed them a lot.

These weren't the simple exercises, the students had to pressurise their minds for them.

In fact, this workshop can be very useful if the students practise the techniques in their day to day routine.

We hope that in future also we will keep on organizing such workshops to benefit our children.

34. “A picnic is more than eating a meal, it is a pleasurable state of mind.”

Somebody has said this very rightly. So on 19 December, 2018 we took the children of classes I to VIII to Town Park, Sec 12 to recreate themselves in the sunny day in the increasing chilling cold.

The Pre Primary Wing was made to visit the grocery market to give them the practical knowledge about shopping and the various items to be used in our day to day life.

In this workshop the students participated very enthusiastically and enjoyed the kirtan as well.

36. “Truth is confirmed by inspection and delay; falsehood by haste and uncertainty.” Tacitus

On 21 December, 2018 we had an inspection by the team of District Education Officials.

Their visit proved to be very positive for KPS BPTP Family.

37.  “Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” ...

After this special assembly our all four Houses put their Food Stalls and Game Stalls which were enjoyed by all the children with great enthusiasm.

In this way, the day was full of merriment and joy.

38. On 29 December, 2018 one more pleasant occasion came to feel proud that today our one student Abhishek of Class VIII participated in District Inter School Chess Tournament 2018 organized by Chess Association of Faridabad held at Nehru College.

He defeated Grand Columbus School in two matches and one match with DPS Sec 19 was declared as 'draw'.

39. “Many activities and team play participation will give you a training that will prove invaluable later on in life.” – Walter Annenberg

Our participation in the Faridabad Trade Fair on 25th December and 31 December, 2018 as well was a very successful event because of the united efforts of the whole KPS Family.

It’s evident to know that we had been the sponsors of Faridabad Mega Trade Fair from 1 December, 2018 to 9 December, 2018 where in our team spirit was clearly visible.

We had made the children participate in various activities like Drawing, Sketching, Singing and Dancing for both i.e. group and solo performances etc.

We wish to be a part of such events for more publicity of our school.

40. “If we believe that happiness is an attitude of the mind that can be practiced and actions that can be performed then there is a place for it in education.”

To keep the positive environment in the school we organized a workshop for teachers on 11 Jan, 2019, which was helpful to create happiness in the inner self.

This session was taken by Mr Chetan Prabhakar and Ms Shivani Prabhakar with the title 'Awakening to Happiness'.

The teaching faculty was benefitted by this workshop.

We hope to conduct such sessions for the whole KPS BPTP Family in future as well for the betterment of our institution.

41. Yagya – means selfless sacrifice for notable purposes. Sacrificing of the ego , selfishness and material attachments and adopting rational thinking, humane compassion and dedicated creativity for the welfare of all – is indeed the best yagna which should be performed by all human beings.

As it was the reopening day of school for the students on 16 January, 2019 after Winter Break, we organized for a Yagya - Havan to restart the teaching- learning process with the blessings of Almighty God in the New Year 2019.

All the children and the staff members took part in it with great devotion. Each and every one present there put their 'aahuti of saamagri' in the Havan Kund and felt very grateful to God.

So, we began the day with spirituality for the best output in the current year.

42. “When I dance, I forget everything else and just feel completely happy.”

These words of Katherine Jenkins are very truthful for our two students Aayushi (Class VIII) and Kashish (Class VII) who participated in 'The King of Swag' presented by Apna Swag Dance Studio where in their solo dance performances were appreciated a lot. In this programme 60 children had participated and only 20 participants got the certificates to mark their better presentation in which our multi talented girls placed themselves at a very good position.

We hope to bag more and more prizes in the near future.

On 21 January, 2019 school organized a workshop about Abacus (for classes 1-5) and Vedic Maths (for classes 6-9). The purpose of this workshop was to inculcate the interest of our students towards fast and accurate calculations as Vedic Mathematics system provides a set of independent crosschecking methods. Similarly ABACUS is also equally useful for kids. It helps to develop the right brain of a child. Abacus can be helpful in the development of one's inner abilities like concentration, speed, memory, accuracy and learning ability.

So KPites are going to be benefitted greatly through these activities in the coming session.

44. “Thousands laid down their lives for us to celebrate this day,
On this 70th year of this significant day, let’s take a pledge that we will never forget their sacrifices.”

To commemorate the day when Indian constitution came into force and India was declared as republic country, national festival Republic Day of our mother land was celebrated in our school premises.

We arranged for a special assembly in which the talented KPites presented a very beautiful cultural programme which included dance performances on patriotic songs by three groups i.e. classes 1 and 2, classes 4 and 5 and classes 6 to 8 respectively.

Class 3 expressed their patriotic feelings in the form of a speech by Haripriya and a poem by Nia.

Ayush of class VIII told about the historical facts about this special day.

Nimish of class VIII expressed his love for nation by reciting a very enthusiastic patriotic poem.

Our lovely Pre Primary Wing presented their patriotism in their own cute way. They came in the costume of our national leaders and spoke few lines each in their sweet manner.

In this way the assembly filled our hearts with love and craziness for the progress of our nation, believing in the words of George Santayana:

A man’s feet must be planted in his country, but his eyes should survey the world.” »
